About the calibration tests
Vrije Universiteit Brussel works in partnership with the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Universiteit Antwerpen and Universiteit Gent in organising institutionally neutral calibration tests. A calibration test is an aid in the transition from secondary to academic education, and it can serve as a useful tool in the Dutch study selection process.
Programmes
Mandatory participation
It is mandatory to take one of the calibration tests if you wish to enrol for the following (Dutch instructed) bachelor’s courses:
- Bioengineering Sciences
- Biomedical Sciences
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Physics
- Engineering Sciences
- Engineering Sciences: architecture
- Industrial Sciences
- Mathematics
However, the results are not binding, so you can still take the course regardless the result. It suffices to take one of the calibration tests. For example, after taking the civil engineer test you can go on to enrol for industrial engineering.
What happens after the calibration test?
After the calibration test (for Dutch programmes only) you get your results by email. Any questions about the course after getting your score? Then register for an individual, online talk with a staff member of Study Guidance. Extra preparation needed before starting a course?
