How to join our alumni network

It's simple. As soon as you graduate from VUB, you will join our VUB alumni network of more than 75,000 knowledge experts whom you can rely on to help you realise your professional ambitions. You do not have to undertake any action for this. However, it is wise to always provide us with your latest personal data. It enables us to communicate with you in an even more targeted way. Please use our online form to update your data.

8 ways to strenghten your VUB network

1. Join your alumni association

Become a member of your faculty or study-programme alumni association. In this way you stay up to date with our latest news, activities, and developments in your field.

2. ... or an international alumni association

Our international alumni chapters help us to keep in touch with international alumni. Networking events, meetings with the rector/academics: our activities go far beyond Belgium.

3. Follow our news on this website

Via vub.be you can follow the latest news released by the VUB community for the VUB community, Brussels, the world. Such as news about our organisation, our research results, columns, opinion pieces, you name it.

4. Follow us on LinkedIn

LinkedIn keeps you up to date with news about our organisation and research. It is also easy to make contact with fellow alumni and expand your professional network.

5. Read our 'Mentors & Professionals'-stories

Every week, our alumni tell their stories to inspire others about their choice of study and job. Are you impressed by someone's experiences? Connect via LinkedIn.

6. Scroll through our Wall of Faces

Throughout our 50-year existence as a university, we have seen many brilliant minds. Scroll through the timeline, discover interesting alumni and connect via LinkedIn.

7. Participate in (networking) events

Keep the unique VUB feeling by participating in workshops, lectures, networking moments and other events. They are excellent chances to strengthen old ties and forge new ones.

8. Speak up via the Dedicated Thinkers

In this discussion forum on Facebook, you can start a conversation with students, professors, and fellow alumni of VUB about current topics in our society.
