Different ombudspersons

Each faculty has its own faculty ombudsperson, which is the first place to direct your complaints. Under certain conditions, you can also contact the central ombudsperson. PhD students can turn to the ombudsperson for PhD candidates.

Authorisations

The ombudsperson is authorised to receive students' complaints and feedback concerning:

educational organisation (eg; cancellation of classes, unavailable course materials,...)
exam proceedings
assessment of Master’s theses
deliberations and examination board decisions
announcement of results
study progress decisions based on exam results

Per faculty there's an ombudsperson to handle feedback, suggestions and complaints from our students about the educational organisation and exam proceedings. This person is also involved in appeals procedures.

Central ombudsperson

In the first place, you address complaints to the faculty ombudsperson. In case of personal involvement or absence of the faculty ombudsperson, you can refer to the central ombudsperson.
