Hit a ball on our outdoor tennis court

In the summer of 2020, the outdoor courts were given a flexcourt surface, which is somewhat stiffer than traditional surfaces and allows the ball to bounce easily, resulting in a more pleasant playing experience than on indoor pitches. An additional advantage in our climate: the pitches can be played on almost immediately after rainfall.

As a VUB sports cardholder, do you want to come and play tennis with your sports partner(s)? Check the availability and come to our reception to book and pay.

Rental agreement

As a group, school or club, do you want to make use of the outdoor tennis court on a weekly basis for a period of time? Submit your request here.

Availability

Check the availability of the outdoor tennis court.

For individual rentals by the hour, at least one of the users must have a valid sports card. You can request individual rentals a maximum of 3 times.

For user agreements a sports card is not required.

12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: € 19.1/hour
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: € 10.9/hour
5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.: € 19.1/hour

 

On weekends and public holidays  
9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.: € 37.1/hour

 

*In order to benefit from a discounted rate, at least half of the players must be VUB or EHB students or staff.  Reduced rates for VUB or EHB students are charged from Monday to Thursday between 8 and 22h and on Friday until 17h.  In the weekend, starting on Fridays at 17h and ending on Sunday at 21h) the normal rate is applied for all.  With the "last minute exception" as a rule : on the day itself VUB students can rent the remaining available facilities at Student Peak rate.

Changing rooms

Use of the changing rooms and showers on the first floor of the VUB sports complex is included in the rental rate.

Indoor tennis

Hit a ball in sports hall L4-5-6. There are three indoor courts (PU surface) suitable for doubles or singles.
