VUB Social entrepreneurship wants to become a centre of excellence for social entrepreneurship. They support social entrepreneurs in their ambition to develop entrepreneurial and innovative business models to solve the sustainability issues of our society. They want to achieve this by developing an interdisciplinary network.

The Social Entrepreneurship Challenge (SEC) is an initiative of the VUB that brings together the academic and business worlds. Its mission is to become a centre of excellence for social entrepreneurship. To succeed in that mission, the project wants to build as many networks and ecosystems as possible to support social entrepreneurs. Your project can therefore be an important addition to that network!

During the project, you will look for sustainable business models for social entrepreneurship. In concrete terms, you will work out a project around a sustainable theme for three months. During this period, you can attend workshops, you can network with other social entrepreneurs and you can count on personalised coaching. That support can help you in your social project to achieve sustainability. The goal of the project is to create a progressive society through as many social projects as possible. So your project can make the difference! Do not hesitate and submit your idea to SEC! In this way you too can contribute to the creation of a more beautiful world for everyone!

Are you a VUB-student who wants to start up a social project? Would you like to be part of an international network? Are you still looking for support? Then ELANET is something for you! 

The European Latin American Network to Support Social Entrepreneurs (ELANET) is an international three-year project of Erasmus+. Together with its partner institutions from Europe and Latin America, the VUB wants to offer support through this online IT platform to all VUB students who want to set up a social project. ELANET offers you all existing tools, resources and coaching material to steer your idea in the best possible direction. This way, your socially important project can succeed and you can make a significant difference!  

Specifically, ELANAET's ambition is to connect all social entrepreneurs and supporting organisations. In this way, the IT platform creates a network as large as possible. As a member of that network, you can count on support and inspiration for your projects, and you also give that to other projects.  ELANET provides the tools and knowledge you need. It also brings together partners who want to join forces with the VUB to support your project. In addition, the international dimension of the project maximises the exchange of best practices between different countries. To make the project a success, ELANET is constantly looking for the most inspiring social entrepreneurs.
