'Working student' statute

Are you self-employed (or employed or a civil servant) and do you combine this job with a programme in day or evening classes? If so, you enjoy ‘work student’ status.

Concessions

To make it easier to combine work and study there are various concessions available, such as time credit, paid educational leave or career breaks. If you wish to apply for one of these it is important to register correctly. The staff of the Education and Student Administration Office can provide you with the right certificates.

Financial support

Study vouchers, a subsidy from the SME portfolio or a grant from the Flemish government: see which support measures you could benefit from.
