- The right to access your medical file, which must be kept secure.
- The protection of your privacy.
- The right to a complaints process.
- The right to pain relief.
Obligations
As a patient, you also have obligations:
- Treating healthcare providers and front-desk staff with respect.
- Providing accurate and complete information needed by the healthcare provider to carry out quality treatment.
- Cooperating to the best of your ability with the treatment. This includes reporting any unusual side effects following the treatment.
