Go on an exchange thanks to Globelink’s A Resilient Exchange
Do the terms “resilience”, “peer to peer” and “intercultural exchange” mean anything to you? Or if they don’t yet, would you love to learn about them? Then apply to be a leader or participant in A Resilient Exchange!
A Resilient Exchange is a project by youth service Globelink that takes place in the summer of 2021. From 1-8 August, 10 Catalan and 10 Belgian young people will come together in the Verloren Bos in Lokeren. Each country will also send two leaders who will take on extra responsibilities during the exchange. During the week, Globelink will organise a series of activities on a particular theme.
This year the theme of the exchange is resilience. It’s a subject that occurs in everyone’s life, even if you don’t realise it! Resilience is the ability to deal with changing situations in your life. That can be on various levels: How do you react to personal setbacks? How does a community react to a changing situation? And the world? During the exchange you’ll reflect on these issues and focus on intercultural meetings. You’ll also consider the social, ecological and economic resilience within the group. As a leader, you’ll also be involved in guiding the sessions for all the young people taking part. So you’ll learn about the subject of resilience as both a leader and as a participant. Are you interested? Then don’t hesitate to register for the exchange now or apply to be a leader!
