Do you follow the latest music trends, technological gadgets, films or series closely and do you have a fluent pen?
The online youth magazine NXTPOP is looking for students who want to develop their writing talent on a voluntary basis with a young, free and creative editorial team!
In 2017, editor-in-chief Steven Elias founded dagelijksvanalles.be out of his interest in journalism. The platform quickly grew and by 2020 it was added to start.vub and operates under the name NXTPOP. It is a channel for and by young people with everything about popular culture: from technology, music, TV and film to content that revolves around the world of students. Strangely enough, there is very little content available about student culture. NXTPOP will change all that.
The editorial staff of NXTPOP consists of the chief editor and fifteen volunteers who are engaged in writing articles, but also in photography and video. In short, the place to be to develop your journalistic skills! As an editor, you are very free to choose what you write about, as long as it fits within the vision of the platform. Soon there will also be a first cooperation with student group LWK, in the form of a virtual talkshow with the theme 'journalism anno 2021', with debates and lectures relevant for everyone interested in journalism.
Would you like to be part of this multifaceted, creative project? Then take a look at the website and don't forget to send your CV, a short motivation and your portfolio!
