Maebar, your Bar
A nice cup of coffee or tea, a bike ride through our beloved capital, and a good conversation about social issues that are important to you. These three things do not seem to go together in one sentence, but with Maebar it is possible!
Maebar is Arabic for crossroads. With the electric tricycle you dive into the bustling Brussels in search of intersections. Not in the literal sense of the word, but you look for points where people cross. Cross, but not really meet. And that's a shame in a city like Brussels, where diversity colors the city and every passerby has an interesting story to tell.
With Maebar you get the chance to meet people and build a network.
The system is simple: you can fold out the bike to accommodate twenty guests for a free cup of coffee or tea. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation you want to start with your initiative. The only requirements are that your project is linked to the city of Brussels, contributes to society and addresses relevant issues. Maebar kills several birds with one stone. With the electric bike you create awareness for sustainability, by choosing your own location you can close the gaps between different parts of Brussels, and finally you also tackle the equal opportunities issue by not excluding anyone from your project.
